TokyoToys ‘Coco’

TokyoToys is a UK retailer specialising in the sale of Anime/Manga merchandise imported from Japan. In 2005 when the company had just started up, I was approached by the owner to design a mascot for the business, and thus Coco Monkey was born! Since then the popularity of TokyoToys skyrocketed as Coco adorned t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, keyrings, and plush soft toy. The character became an icon in the UK anime convention scene and Coco's fame far exceeded my expectations, having made an appearance in a season of British reality TV show "Big Brother", worn by one of the contestants, Gerry, in 2007 and much loved by TV presenter Jonathan Ross and his family. Eyeko Beauty

Eyeko Beauty is a London-based cosmetics brand whose unique manga-inspired packaging appeals to fans of both makeup and Japanese comic art. I gave the Eyeko logo an updated look and also created a personality and full bodied design for the mascot to feature in her own mini promotional comic printed as A5 size booklets that were given out to customers at events.  During my time as a designer for the company I was also responsible for the packaging design for many of Eyeko’s products including their best-selling Eyeko Big Eyes Mascara, Nail Polishes and Graffiti Eyeliner Pen. Additionally I created concepts for POS displays for use in Superdrug stores, web graphics, weekly newsletters, promotional merchandise and concept art. Genki Gear ‘Lilith’ T-Shirt

Genki Gear is a UK-based apparel company that creates t-shirts heavily influenced by Japanese culture, Anime and Sci-Fi. I was asked to create an original design for a Limited Edition release, so I created one based on my original character 'Lilith' which was produced as t-shirts, hoodies and jackets. They were sold online and at London MCM Expo. The 'Lilith' design was well-received by customers and garnered media attention - it was featured in NEO Magazine and Animetion UK. These items sold out shortly after its launch in October 2009.
